Readers of my blog will know that over the last year I've been working towards setting a new standard in Calgary for the portraits that people use for their personal and business profiles. I would love nothing more than to never see another portrait shot against a muslin backdrop with the standard 3 point light setup. There is no life to that kind of photograph, and people deserve better when promoting themselves and their business. Peter recognizes this and brought me on board to create some urban based imagery for him, so yesterday we spent an hour in downtown Calgary. Here are a few shots that we created in that time.

The Chaulk Team, comprised of Wayne, Denise, and Rebecca Chaulk, are a family of Realtors based in Calgary, AB who wanted to update their imagery to be used in web and promotional material. They had seen the images I had created when working with another Calgary Realtor (which can be seen here) and brought me on board for my modern approach to business portraits. Here are just a few of the images I created for them.
Darcy contacted me recently about getting some photos done for his business profiles (LinkedIn, website, etc.), so yesterday we hit up downtown Calgary and got to work. Half hour-ish later we were wrapped and had these to show for it. All the photos we shot using a 46" octa box paired up with the D800 + 85mm f/1.8G.
