My onslaught on standardized and bland corporate / business portraits continued yesterday when I was brought in to photograph the team over at MacLeod Trail Plastic Surgery. Up to this point, their imagery consisted of the same old white backdrop, shoulder tilted, off kilter Sears portrait studio style of photography that couldn't catch your attention if it was thrown at your face while on fire. Little by little though, companies are starting to realize that if they want to stand out from their competition in this extremely visual world, then they need photos which stand out from the blah that has somehow overtaken much of corporate and business portraits. We shot a wide variety of images, but this photo kept popping out at me when going through the files, so I thought I'd share.
