Hamhong & Karen | Wedding

Ham & Karen were my final wedding for 2009 (unless someone is getting married in the next few weeks and still hasn’t found a photographer… but I doubt it) and my very first Chinese wedding in regards to both shooting and/or attending. The day is very much orientated towards games, good food and lots of family, which if you know me at all, is a good fit for this fella. I don’t think I have ever eaten so much awesome food in one day, from the roast pig that was transported from house to house, to the 12 course meal at the reception, all of it was friggin glorious.

When I met with Ham and Karen for the first time to talk about what I do and what they were looking for it seemed to be a perfect match; they wanted nothing to do with grassy hills and pretty trees, and I love to shoot in ghetto areas with contrasty lighting, not even matchmaker.com could have done a better job combining two sets of people. As a result, they invited me to spend the day with them and I for one had a ton of fun. So congrats Ham & Karen, and for the rest of you, enjoy some photos from the day.
